About the “Art of Formula 1” Series
First published in 2017, this series is dedicated to Scuderia Ferrari’s F1 Grand Prix cover art and the artists behind the work. Charles Leclerc pauses to admire the twelve apostles on his way to a podium finish at Melbourne!
Did You Know?
Twelve Apostles National Park – Victoria, Australia
These wave sculpted, limestone, rock stacks are part of the Twelve Apostles National Park in Victoria, Australia and is one of the most popular tourist destinations. Originally named after: Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew/Nathanael, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, Judas the Greater, and Judas Iscariot (the 12 disciples of Jesus), there were originally only 9 rock formations and due to natural erosion only 7 remain. Not far from this site is the Great Ocean Road, a 150 mile road dedicated to soldiers killed in world war I. The road is considered the world’s largest war memorial and connects the cities of Torquay and Allansford.

Lots of Sparks and fire coming from Charles Leclerc as he blasts out to the front of traffic in the first race of the season. Will we see Leclerc for the win or even a 1, 2 Ferrari podium finish?!
Did You Know?
If Bram Stoker only knew what the British were doing for the win!
So what does Stoker, CARFAX, and Dracula have to do with British racing success?
In his novel ‘Dracula’, Stoker writes that only in his native soil, can a vampire regain his powers and overcome his adversaries. This is why cases of dirt were shipped to ‘Carfax’ Abbey as well as in and around London.
Did you know that many F1 tracks have been paved with crushed rock called greywacke aggregate? This aggregate has been imported from the Bayston Hill Quarry, Shrewsbury, UK. Tracks with these imported materials include Bahrain as well as Yas Marina Circuit. [1] [2] [3]
Could this have played a role in Hamilton’s success over the past years or is this coincidence? You decide.
